"Where's the Odyssey?"

Films: Atlas in the Land of the Cyclops (1961)

Alias: Polyphemo

Type: Mystical

Location: Cave

Height/Weight: That of a large building.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: If you came looking for the long tale of Odysseus when you heard of a Cyclops, then you're sorely mistaken. Instead, we have this cheap sword and sandal film.

History: Ancestor to the evil sorceress Circe, Queen Capys hopes to annihilate the legacy of Odysseus, who wronged her long ago. To do this, she's sacrificing people left and right to her voracious Cyclops, Polyphemo. But local strongman Maciste is coming to save the day...WAIT, THEN WHO'S ATLAS?! Auugghh, these misleading titles!

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: To put it briefly, you can find Polyphemo's remains with a large stake where the eye should be. Not-Atlas' honor.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: The eye is the soft spot.

Scariness Factor: 3-While certainly big, there's nothing really remarkable about this Cyclops. If anything, he looks like a washed-up hippie with a singular eye, to us.

Trivia: -This film was also known as "Monster from the Unknown World".

-This film starred 1960’s "Mr. Universe" pro winner, Paul Witner.

"Lay off! I'm trying to spend time with my family!"

Yeah. Real manly there.

Oh, God! They clawed out his eyes already!

Pretty heavy title for all its obscurity.

"NOBODY HAS HURT ME!" What? It was too good to pass.
